Yes
The Algonquin is currently open Thursday-Sunday on a takeout basis only. By car or boat! All restaurants are complying to strict CDC guidelines and currently have no answers as to when full-service dining will return to the state of New York.
Yes ducks on dock too.
Need to call to fine out go luck rest is good.
Unfortunately not, we are closed for the season, will re-open in April 2019
Water is below dock. If you had a pontoon it would be at the same level
There is a children's menu for the Algonquin downstairs (inside and out by the water). Children under 10 are not permitted at the Topside Grill where there is no children's menu.
A few
Just fabulous! The food, the service, the beverages, and oh...the view!
The food was excellent. We had the baked brie appetizer which was very nice. I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the king crab legs which she raved over. Bruce gave us fast and friendly service, with a great personality. I didn't catch the ladies working the bar upstairs names but they were hustling! We will be back.
My sister and her boyfriend from Santa Cruz, CA came for a visit. They were going to head north after leaving Glens Falls, so we looked for a restaurant on their way. The Algonquin restaurant was a perfect choice. It was a beautiful day and we sat right by the water. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The virgin Bloody Mary was delicious and the regular one was not too bad either! The food was delicious. Hens and chickens, fish point and fish tacos.
If your looking for food.. Algonquin is just an average place. Nothing special at all.It is of course right on the lake, service is pretty good. But not too crazy about this place. It is easy to go dock and have a quick note to eat.If you’re going to leave a 5 star review.. place should have 5 star food & service. This place is average 2.5 stars maybe 3. Nothing more nothing less.
I am not sure what the hype is all about. Came for a dinner around 6 pm. They don’t take reservations so had to wait 30 min for a table. Once we were seated the service was extremely slow and the waitress messed up the order 3 times. Food wasn’t that good and all together our dinner took over 2 hours. We waited for our main course for well over an hour and we didn’t order anything fancy. Now to the cleaning aspect during COVID. While waiting for food I observed how the tables were cleaned and not just by the waitress but even the owner! They simply take a dry towel brush off any crumbs and the next person is seated. Not even a drop of water . Find another place to eat.
Not vegetarian friendly and many employees don’t know how to wear their mask right. I used to love this place but recently switched to plant based and tried ordering the fish tacos but replace fish with avocado and our server, Jen, was very rude about it. Also most of the workers are wearing their mask with the nose exposed so not very safe during this global pandemic.
Greek Shrimp very well made. Chef was accommodating with making one of the plates over vegetables instead of linguini. Brie appetizer with red, green grapes, sliced oranges and sliced apples. Perfect combination. Perfect seating over looking Lake George.
Food was awful service was no better! People must not know what good food is! Been in the restaurant business all my life and never had worse food!
Beautiful views, nice servers and great food. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the Lake. Nice selection of beers including local Adirondack breweries. The Nantucket Bloody Mary is my wife's favorite. Our food choices tasted great. We liked it so much, we came back at dinnertime to get dessert!
Everything was fine until sat down. None of staff had lighter for special candle I brought. They only had 1 bottle hand sanitizer at hostess station that you have to request to use during a pandemic. Staff are not all covering nose with mask.Food & view is EXCELLENT. I was debating 3 or 4 star but gave them the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars. Also, please make it more personable by having manager | owner check up on us to make sure our experience is top notch. The personal factor goes A LONG WAY!!I also feel service drops when they r busy between 5-7pm Saturdays in summer time. Don’t worry, would still come back but during OFF PEAK time!
Good food in a nice setting. Try the calamari
Great place right on Lake George in Bolton Landing NY. Inside and outside seating. Drive up or boat up. Great menu (ahi tuna appetizer was particularly good). Excellent salads, scallops and chicken parmigiana. Good selection of local beers. Great views of the lake. Wonderful staff. Highly recommended.
Dock & Dine was a terrific experience. Two thumbs up 👍👍
Firstly I will say that the bone-in wings and French fries were just ok. We bought fish and chips which was supposed to be Cod but was not, likely Pollack, it was flaccid and oily, taste was not good. Calamari came in a box 3 inches deep and 6 by 6. The box had a single layer of calamari which was extremely disappointing and way too salty. The California burger had no flavor and was dried out, had a spoonful of pineapple which was also pretty dry. See picture.
The seafood scampi was delicious
Beautiful views, very prompt service, delicious food. I’m so happy to have found this restaurant!
We had 3 meals here. Very nice spot and the food is good!! Would definitely recommend! !!
The setting and location were really good. The food portion was a bit disappointing though, especially for the price. I had the fish tacos, and my lady had the Hawaiian shrimp bowl. We had calamari for appetizers.
Beautiful views of the lake, good food and service. I liked my Reuben and the onion rings we're yummy.
Gorgeous view, very good food. Worth checking out if you’re in the Lake George, Bolton Lansing area.(Our service was horrendous last time we went. Very slow, never refilled drinks or checked in, forgot a drink even after asking two times. We didn’t say anything, but someone else ended up bringing us stuff and I believe they told him to apologize for the service. My guess is he was new so I wouldn’t let this sway you. Try it out.)
Wonderful views but the food was not satisfactory.
Fabulous..great service..the Brie appetizer was especially delicious..
Amazing place. Great food. Gorgeous views. Loved the ambience.
Great time. Parked boat. Excellent drinks
Not happy with our dishes - Steak ordered medium rare and it was more well done than anything. Fish and chips were 99% fries and a Tony bit of fish and then the burger we ordered was also overcooked and dry. Based on the reputation we expected better.
AMAZING food.. And such super friendly waitstaff!! First visit since last summer and NOT disappointed. The Tuna wonton appetizer was so delicious. And the Greek shrimp pasta was to die for! Definitely try them out for dinner 😁
Great food, amazing view of the lake, wonderful atmosphere!
Great food and beautiful view
Quick service, amazing view. Nothing better than great food and drink in combination with a beautiful atmosphere.
Great view. Happy families wearing masks as they enter and leave.
Food was good but a little over priced. Felt like I was paying NYC prices. Would stay away from the pretzels as the cheese dip is good but for $14 you only get 3 pretzel logs and with the free bread, there are better things on the menu to get. Overall food was good though and the service was good especially during COVID times. Recommendations-Local beers are good and worth trying-Corkscrew shrimp was a twist to the calamri we typically get and worth a try (although they should def add cocount shrimp to their menu)- the shrimp hawaiin bowl is poke bowl and is really good. Ask for the sauce on the side if possible as they go heavy on the sauce. It is good but the last few bites are soupy.-the coconut rice was mushy and more like couscous but still good. Not sure if it was an off night but dont get too excited for it.
Service, food, ambience You cannot go wrong. You will go back for sure.
Beautiful lake view. Fish point, fish tacos and the nachos were devoured by our group. Not many vegan or vegetarian options.
Amazing seating on water with great burgers and very fresh calamari with unique batter
My all time favorite spot on Lake George. If you are lucky enough to have a boat, that's the best way to get there! Try the Nantucket Bloody (comes with massive shrimp) with organic cucumber vodka. Food is solid and views are awesome.
Our waitress Emily was fantastic! She was courteous and patient. Our meal was promptly delivered hot and the food was delicious. Everyone at the table enjoyed the views of Lake George and their lunch. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing lunch or dinner with a great view of this beautiful lake.
The server, Allison, was really friendly. There was only outdoor seating, and there were no reservations. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and very tasty. My party waited for less than an hour. There was a bar upstairs where we waited. I would highly recommend the Algonquin.
Great venue. Food is great.
Had party of twenty and was seated quickly as possible without reservations and as close as possible during a pandemic. Had everything from new England clam chowder to NY strip. Portion size is good food was a bit on the cooler side but again try getting twenty meals out together
A great outdoors option. Food was great and weight staff was safe and distancing.
The Lake, the food, the atmosphere and the best staff you could ask for on a night out in Lake George.
Even if you have to wait for a table there are fabulous boats to look at, and a beautiful view! The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. Love to start with the fruit and brie...my fave is the Hawaiian shrimp bowl...add salmon, delish!!
One of my favorite restaurants in Lake George/Southern Adirondack region. Love the ambiance and the mountain views. Always come here after a long hike in the Adirondacks.
Ambiance was wonderful, food was great especially the calamari with jalapeno jam. Definetly will come back in the future
Right on the water, great views. Food was pretty good.
Great food. Fast service.
Good food and drinks. The lake was the main draw obviously. Interesting times when you don't have any problems finding a dock space. They did a nice job making things spread out for seating.
Very good food and excellent management. Outside deck got blasted with an unexpected rain storm and the manager and his staff handled it perfectly. We got a little wet, but our food was hot and delicious.
The food at the Algonquin is incredible, with a wide variety on the menu. Although, even if the food was terrible, I would still recommend this restuarant. It has outdoor seating on the docks. If you get there for sunset you will enjoy one of the best restuarant views in Lake George.
